NSK Ball Bearings

Bearings make the world go ‘round – from household appliances to rockets. NSK ball bearings are rotating throughout the world every day. As one of the first bearing manufacturers in the world, NSK is a leader in technology and innovation.

Bearings are essential components built into almost all machines involving rotation.  They help minimize friction and ensure smooth rotation, and come in various types depending on the application and place of use.  NSK bearings come in all sizes, fit to meet the needs of the smallest industry applications like the miniature ball bearings in dental handpieces to the large rolling bearings found in steel mill applications.

NSK ball bearings will accomodate moderate to heavy radial loads and low to moderate thrust loads in either direction.  There are multiple types in order to suit specific application requirements.

  • Deep groove radial bearings are manufactured as open bearings or with shields or seals.
  • Max Type bearings are used in applications involving heavy radial loads and low speeds where thrust loads are comparitively low.
  • Double row bearings are used in applications where there are high radial loads and axial loads in both directions.
  • Self-Aligning bearings allow for misalignment of the shaft and housing.  They are manufactured with two rows of balls and one continuous spherical raceway in the outer ring.
  • Mast Guide bearings have a high load capacity and are specifically designed for use in fork lift trucks.
  • Integral shaft bearings, or "water pump bearings", are largely used in automotive markets.  They do not require an inner ring, and feature double lip seals to prevent contamination.
  • Angular contact bearings are used where radial and thrust loads are combined in the same application.
